Everton can receive additional PSR boost ahead of June deadline
Everton could recieve an “additional boost” to their chances of meeting the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability rules with any further sales after the expected departure of Lewis Dobbin to Aston Villa, according to Joe Thomas.
The PSR accounting deadline of 30 June is edging closer and journalist Thomas said there is genuine hope the club have managed to comply for the first time in three years.
Thomas said selling Dobbin will be a help and that any other departures before the end of the month will only strengthen the club’s hand in that regard.
Writing in the Liverpool Echo (22 June), Thomas opined: “While the picture looks concerning from the outside, there is still hope the club might be able to find a way to comply with Profit and Sustainability Regulations for the first time in three years.
“Should Aston Villa complete the signing of Lewis Dobbin, then the Blues’ position will certainly be much improved, while any further business between now and the end of the month would be an additional boost.”
Which players could depart Everton before 30 June?
As most football fans will know, last season was the first time that a breaching of the Premier League’s financial rules was punished with a points deduction.
The Toffees were subject to two deductions which resulted in a total of eight points being docked from their tally.

In order to help avoid meeting the same fate next term the Daily Mail (20 June) shared how quickfire sales could aid the Merseyside club with any future financial battles with the Premier League.
As well as the likely departure of Dobbin, both Jarrad Branthwaite and Amadou Onana have been heavily linked with moves away from Merseyside.
However, at present, only a “ridiculous offer” has been made for the young defender by Manchester United with a bid for Onana yet to be made.
Although the only moves to come from Goodison Park as of yet are the departure of Dobbin alongside the arrival of Tim Iroegbunam [The Secret Scout, 20 June], plenty more deals are expected to occur prior to the end of the summer transfer window.
