Everton ready Aaron Wan-Bissaka transfer as new update emerges at Goodison Park

Everton are interested in signing Manchester United full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer, according to HITC.

The online source reported [25 June] that, while also keeping tabs on centre-back Victor Lindelof [HITC, 14 June], the Toffees now want to sign the 26-year-old right-back, whose future is currently up in the air.

It is understood that Wan-Bissaka is also gaining interest from Turkey, with Fenerbahce and Galatasaray keeping an eye, and the Red Devils are open to each of their exits this summer if the price is right.

Everton target Aaron Wan-Bissaka as Manchester United open to deal

Given that United signed Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace for £45million in 2019, as per Sky Sports, it is unlikely that the Toffees will able to get the deal for cheap this summer.

With two years left on his contract – the club triggering a one-year extension in January [BBC Sport, 4 January] – the club will be under no pressure to sell the full-back, even despite his lack of game time at Old Trafford.

Wan-Bissaka’s move to Manchester has seemingly not worked out, though he has racked up almost 200 appearances since arriving in 2019.

However, considering Sean Dyche’s current predicament at right-back, the player would not be a bad addition to the squad ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

While Seamus Coleman has put pen to paper on a new one-year extension, the 35-year-old is unlikely to play every single Premier League match next term, meaning the club need a decent backup option.

Everton’s current relationship with the Red Devils might make that a little harder, though, with the club refusing the budge on their valuation of Jarrad Branthwaite amid interest from the Manchester team.

The Toffees may have to look elsewhere for a new right-back, or they may begin leaning into a transfer discussion that would see them swap Branthwaite for Wan-Bissaka – not a good deal.
