Everton make Federico Gatti approach as offer update emerges

Everton have reignited their interest in Juventus defender Federico Gatti, according to Tuttojuve.

The Toffees and Newcastle have both made an approach for the 26-year-old recently, with Everton especially keen after testing the waters last summer.

Although Gatti is currently with Italy in Germany competing at Euro 2024 and no offers are imminent, Everton’s continued interest suggests they are serious about a potential move.

Everton’s transfer window continuing at pace

Everton’s transfer window is continuing at pace as the club aims for more signings this summer, amidst a potential takeover by Dan Friedkin.

Having secured Tim Iroegbunam from Aston Villa and brought Jack Harrison back from Leeds United on loan, the Toffees are now close to signing Marseille attacker Iliman Ndiaye and approaching Juventus for Gatti.

Meanwhile, the club has sold Lewis Dobbin to Villa and expects more interest in their players.

Everton insist Branthwaite, who signed a new contract last autumn, won’t be sold cheaply. Despite Old Trafford’s reluctance to include Victor Lindelöf and Aaron Wan-Bissaka in a deal, Everton remain firm in their valuation.

Additionally, there were some ongoing negotiations with Fenerbahce over Beto and as Sean Dyche works to land Ndiaye next, Everton’s transfer activity shows no signs of slowing down.
