Everton transfer news as Expert update emerges in pursuit of Chelsea striker Armando Broja

Chelsea striker and Everton target Armando Broja is likely not yet at a hundred per cent post his ACL injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that while he has faced issues with his fitness, there may be mitigating factors that justify signing him this summer.

This comes as the Toffees are looking to intensify their pursuit of signing the Albania striker [Ben Jacobs], who recently played at Euro 2024, with any deal understood to cost them at least £25million, per AS on 12 June.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison NewsBrar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Broja:

He returned from an ACL reconstruction and you always expect some hiccups along the way.

The key thing will be to assess where his fitness currently is and where his habits are.

If those check out and the value is there, can certainly justify the signing based on his talent level.

“He’s likely to still not be at 100 per cent and will need a good run of games next season to get there.

Everton must not waste time and money chasing Armando Broja

The Toffees can certainly find better strikers for £25million than Broja.

The Albanian has struggled to make an impact at Chelsea, failing to secure a regular starting spot and even being benched for his country.

In that price range, the Merseyside outfit could target proven goalscorers with more consistent track records in top leagues.

They should focus on strikers with more experience and proven goalscoring ability rather than taking a gamble on an unproven player like Broja.

In other Everton news, the Toffees have made an approach to sign a midfielder at a side that recently won the Champions League.
