Busy day at Everton with new transfer announcement expected
Everton are set to announce the signing of Marseille forward Iliman Ndiaye on Wednesday (3 July), according to David Anderson.
The Daily Mirror journalist took to X to state that he expects a “busy day” at the club due to the impending announcement.
The former Sheffield United man will move from the Ligue 1 side for a fee worth £15.6million, he added.
Why Everton have chosen to sign Iliman Ndiaye
To Everton fans, it’ll come as no surprise that the Toffees have already brought in three new additions to their squad.
For the last few seasons, the Merseyside club have been frustratingly fighting it out at the wrong end of the table and scrapping for Premier League safety.
Granted, their inclusion last season was largely due to the total of eight points deducted for two breaches of Profit and Sustainability rules that they suffered, but, they still managed to pull through and in the end were impressively well clear of the drop.
One area of the team that was noticeably worse than the rest last term was that of Everton’s attack.
Although the club have welcomed Jack Harrison back [Fabrizio Romano, 24 June], they are still in need of reinforcement.

Especially since Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s future is still up in the air.
With this in mind, a move for Ndiaye makes sense as the last time the attacker played in England, he managed to contribute to a total of 27 goals, albeit in the Championship.
Ndiaye’s addition of pace and keen eye for goal will no doubt be of major use to Sean Dyche this term and will likely be one of Everton’s more valuable additions.
In other Everton news, the price of Arthur Melo has been raised should the Toffees wish to go for him this summer.
