Everton to complete Iliman Ndiaye transfer on Wednesday after Sky Sports update
Iliman Ndiaye is set to become an Everton player on 3 July after completing his transfer from Marseille, according to Sky Sports.
Alan Myers reported on the transfer centre on 2 July (10:59pm) that after passing a medical over the weekend, Ndiaye will finalise his switch to Goodison Park on Wednesday.
The former Sheffield United forward registered nine goals and assists combined in last season with the Ligue 1 side, but now looks set to return to English shores as the Toffees’ third signing of the summer.
Ndiaye has only made one Premier League appearance so far, back in the 2020/21 season, but after the Blues agreed a deal worth £15.6million (and £1.2million in add-ons) with Marseille, the Senegal international is in line to be a key player for the Blues [Fabrizio Romano, 25 June].
Iliman Ndiaye transfer brings new dimension to Everton attack
For a side who were extremely shy on the goalscoring front throughout last season, adding a player who tore defences to shreds with Sheffield United will be a welcome addition at Goodison Park.
Three goals in 30 Ligue 1 appearances is hardly prolific, but given a more consistent role in a new-look Toffees attack, Ndiaye could go some way towards replicating his previous Sheffield United form.

Ndiaye managed 14 strikes from an advanced midfield position during the Blades’ 2022/23 promotion campaign, and given that’s more than double the Blues’ top scorer managed last season, his signing is likely to improve the attacking output of Sean Dyche’s side.
With question marks hanging over the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and the Toffees hardly awash with cash, Ndiaye will provide a different style of play, allowing for a more varied attack at Goodison Park [Alan Myers, 26 June].
It remains to be seen as to how Ndiaye is utilised by Dyche going forward, but with the club on the verge of sealing his signing, the 24-year-old will be hoping to make a fast start to life on Merseyside.
