Iliman Ndiaye contract update as Everton set to make new announcement
Iliman Ndiaye has signed his five-year contract as an Everton player, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist reported via X on Wednesday (3 July) that the Toffees are set to announce the arrival of the 24-year-old soon.
Everton will pay Olympique de Marseille a total package of £16.9million for the forward.
Of that total fee, £15.6million is guaranteed while the remaining £1.3million is made up of add-ons.
Everton supporters wait patiently for Iliman Ndiaye announcement at Goodison Park
Supporters at Goodison Park will be wondering why the club has taken so long to announce this deal.
It has been a week since Fabrizio Romano reported (26 June) that Ndiaye had completed his medical with Everton.
As a result, plenty of people would have been expecting the transfer announcement sometime in the days after.
However, there appears to have been some sort of hold-up, and supporters would have been growing nervous that there had been complications in the deal.
Nonetheless, according to Romano’s update, it looks as if those supporters can rest assured that a deal for Ndiaye has gone through smoothly and that he can now be considered an Everton player.
It continues an exciting few weeks for the Toffees which has also seen the arrivals of Jack Harrison and Tim Iroegbunam.
However, after the amount of time supporters have been forced to wait, they will be expecting quite the announcement video.
In other Everton news, Dan Friedkin could look to appoint a UEFA Champions League-winning manager at Goodison Park.
