Everton transfer round-up: Bid submitted for striker, Jarrad Branthwaite update shared
Everton remain busy this transfer window with further outgoings and incomings expected at Goodison Park.
The Toffees have already done some decent business this summer, bringing in Tim Iroegbunam from Aston Villa for a reported £9million.
Sean Dyche also managed to secure Jack Harrison on a season-long loan from Leeds United and, more recently, Iliman Ndiaye from Marseille.
There have been many more developments beyond those confirmed arrivals, with Goodison News rounding up all the big transfer news from the past 24 hours.
Everton bid for Chelsea striker Armando Broja may be in after recent transfer admission
Everton may be one of the clubs that have submitted a bid to sign Chelsea striker Armando Broja this summer as Fabrizio Romano has shared his statement.
The journalist took to Twitter on 2 July to quote the Albania striker, who recently featured at Euro 2024, where he admitted that there have been offers made for him from the Premier League.
The Toffees are expected to intensify their pursuit of the 22-year-old striker with a fee of £25million likely to be enough to satisfy Chelsea to part ways with him. [AS on 12 June]
Broja said: “It’s true, I have offers from Serie A, Bundesliga and Premier League.
“Staying at Chelsea? It is an option; I still have a contract here.”
Everton ace Jarrad Branthwaite transfer update leaves Sky Sports host baffled live on air
Everton ace Jarrad Branthwaite’s transfer status sparked confusion on Sky Sports News as Dharmesh Sheth revealed that Manchester United are still interested in signing the 22-year-old.
Branthwaite has been repeatedly linked with a move to Old Trafford over the past month, but the Toffees’ large asking price appeared to put United off.
However, the Red Devils continue to be credited with an interest in the England international and that speculation does not look to be going away anytime soon.
Speaking live on Sky Sports News on Wednesday (3 July, 5:13pm), Sheth said in the latest update on the subject: “The interest is still there in Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.”
That prompted a surprised response from host Vicky Gommersall, who said: “Really? Okay…”
Sheth added: “We understand that Everton don’t want to sell and don’t need to sell, so there’s no need for them to reduce their £75million-plus asking price.”
Martin Braithwaite stance emerges as Everton submit offer
Everton have submitted an offer for Espanyol striker Martin Braithwaite, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Spanish media outlet reported on 2 July, as transcribed by Football Espana, that the Denmark international turned down a contract extension and could be on his way out this summer.
The Toffees, along with Southampton and Leicester City are keen on signing the 33-year-old this summer with talks opened over a potential move, per Tipsbladet on 2 July.

Braithwaite is said to be in a “complicated” and “contradictory” situation as he and his family are settled in the Barcelona area but he is unsatisfied with the ambitions of the Espanyol board who are said to be planning minimal investment after promotion.
Everton transfer update on more signings emerges after Iliman Ndiaye transfer confirmed
Everton are active in the transfer market behind the scenes as they look to add further signings, according to Alan Myers.
The Sky Sports journalist replied via Twitter on 3 July after the Toffees confirmed the arrival of Iliman Ndiaye from Marseille to report that there is plenty more being looked at still.
Ndiaye is the third signing of the summer after Tim Iroegbunam from Aston Villa and another loan for Jack Harrison from Leeds United, while Omari Benjamin has joined the under-21s on a permanent deal.
Myers wrote of further incomings: “Lots going on in the background, whether anything is close I’m not so sure.”
