Dominic Calver-Lewin spotted at Everton training
Calvert-Lewin appears to want a move away from Goodison after eight seasons where he has seen plenty of ups and downs.
Unfortunate struggles with injuries have meant Calvert-Lewin hasn’t quite hit the heights that he did with Carlo Ancelotti as Everton manager but had a largely injury-free campaign last time around.
He began to display his best form towards the end of a season, which yielded seven Premier League goals, and bagged in the Merseyside derby win over Liverpool.
With a year remaining on the 27-year-old’s contract, Everton face somewhat of a dilemma over what to do with their star marksman.
Everton could benefit from moving him on in this transfer window to bring in funds to allow them to potentially replace Calvert-Lewin but getting in a striker of equal or better quality will not come cheap.
If they fail to source a suitable replacement it would leave Beto as the only real senior option at Goodison Park for Sean Dyche as a number nine option next season.
It looks clear that the Englishman is being professional and turning up to training despite a desire to depart, potentially to Newcastle United, this summer.
