Everton transfer update shared by Fabrizio Romano amid Jesper Lindstrom pursuit

Everton still have some work left to do before they can secure the services of Napoli attacking midfielder Jesper Lindstrom, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The news journalist reported on X on 18 July that the Toffees are in negotiations with the Italian side for the Denmark attacking midfielder.

It’s understood that Napoli are open to letting him leave on loan with a buy clause.

Romano wrote: “Everton and Napoli remain in talks for Jesper Lindstrøm as revealed last week, based on loan with buy clause.

“Still work to do but negotiations ongoing, as per exclusive story last week.”

Sean Dyche needs to step in to seal Jesper Lindstrom transfer for Everton

As negotiations between the Toffees and Napoli for the 24-year-old seem to be slow-moving, it might be time for Sean Dyche to step in and take a more active role.

Dyche’s involvement could potentially expedite the process and help finalise the deal.

His direct communication with Napoli officials and the player and his representatives could provide a clearer understanding of the club’s interest and commitment to the player.

The Englishman’s reputation and experience in the Premier League could also influence Napoli’s willingness to reach an agreement, especially considering his successful track record in player recruitment.

Moreover, his personal touch could reassure Lindstrom about his role and importance in Everton’s squad, potentially making the move more appealing for the player.

It remains to be seen how this saga transpires but the fact that it’s been going on for a while suggests that there is interest from Lindstrom’s end as well.
