Everton sale stance on Jarrad Branthwaite shared after dramatic takeover collapse
Jarrad Branthawaite could still stay as an Everton player this summer despite the collapse of the takeover by the Friedkin Group, according to the Daily Mirror.
Andy Dunn wrote for the newspaper’s print edition on 20 July [page 63] that thanks to the sale of Amadou Onana, the Toffees’ immediate financial future is secure.
However, should an influx of cash be needed at any point, Branthwaite will more than likely be the player who is sold.
Everton need to keep Jarrad Brantwahite this summer
Branthwaite was by far and away one of Everton’s best players last season. The defender was a rock in the centre of the club’s defence and helped ensure that their Premier League status remained intact.
The sale of the defender wouldn’t be the be-all and end-all for the club but it would certainly put them in a far worse position.
James Tarkowski was the man who usually paired the youngster last term but outside of their starting pair, there are a lack of options at centre of the Toffees’ defence especially since Ben Godfrey has departed this summer.

Sean Dyche has been linked with bringing in someone such as Davinson Sanchez this summer but no defensive reinforcements have yet been added.
Should Everton need to sell the 22-year-old this summer, it’s unlikely that it’ll be for less than £65million, especially when they seem to be holding out for £70m.
This would be a huge amount of money for the club but it would be near-impossible to replace the talent he possesses.
