Everton target Angelo Preciado update emerges as multi-million bid on the table

Everton target Angelo Preciado has joined Sparta Prague for their pre-season training after the recent Copa America, according to El Comercio.

The news outlet reported on 20 July that the 26-year-old is gearing up for a new season at the Czech outfit but he could be playing his football elsewhere should he leave.

The Toffees have made a £7.5million bid for the Ecuador right-back and he’s understood to be insistent on moving to Goodison Park. [Safak Malatya. 19 July]

Should he join, he will be the third signing of the summer after Iliman Ndiaye and Tim Iroegbunam.

Angelo Preciado may have to leave pre-season training to talk to Everton

The Toffees may request the Ecuador international to fly out of his pre-season training to travel to Merseyside to discuss terms of a transfer.

Preciado could be a long-term replacement for Seamus Coleman at Goodison Park and it makes sense to prioritise this transfer.

The 26-year-old right-back with experience in the Copa America and European leagues fits the profile of a player who could potentially take over from Coleman.

As he’s understood to be “insistent” on moving to Goodison Park it works in the club’s favour, as it indicates his willingness.

Ashley Young cannot be the next best right-back option and Nathan Patterson’s injury means he may not be the same player once he returns.

Hopefully, this deal goes through as the 26-year-old could be a stellar addition to the team.
