Everton in talks with Eintracht Frankfurt over Junior Dina Ebimbe transfer
Everton have opened talks with Eintracht Frankfurt for attacking midfielder Junior Dina Ebimbe, according to Fabrice Hawkins.
The journalist reported on X [19 August] that the Blues have enquired about the availability of the 23-year-old, with the Bundesliga side open to a sale this summer.
Discussions between the two sides are in the early stages, and there is yet to be contact between Everton and the player’s entourage.
Will Everton sign Junior Dina Ebimbe?
Everton will be one of the sides to watch as we enter the final 10 days of the summer transfer window.
Sean Dyche is actively trying to improve his side after the signings of Jack Harrison, Jasper Lindstrom and Iliman Ndiaye but is still unsatisfied with his current attacking options [talkSPORT].
The Blues registered just one shot on target in the 3-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion on the opening day of the 2024/25 Premier League season. The side looked void of ideas as they began their final season at Goodison Park in defeat.
Dina Ebimbe is yet to feature for Frankfurt this season. He was named in the matchday squad once this season as an unused substitute in the DFB-Pokal.
The former France U21 international was a regular starter in Germany last term with 10 goals and five assists in 44 appearances across all competitions and can play anywhere across the midfield.
A product of the Paris Saint-Germain academy, Dina Ebimbe never found his way into the first team and after two underwhelming stints with Le Havre and Dijon, found his feet in Germany.
Whether Everton develop their interest into a concrete move remains to be seen but this could prove to be another smart move for the Blues for a promising young attacking talent.
