Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe left out of training as Everton ready new transfer
Eric Junior Ebimbe has been left out of Eintracht Frankfurt’s training ahead of a potential move to Everton, according to BILD.
The German newspaper reported [28 August, page 10] that the 23-year-old has not satisfied manager Dino Toppmoller with his training performance, with the Toffees wanting to sign him this summer.
It is understood that Frankfurt would be open to the player’s exit for £16.8million, with Napoli also said to be interested ahead of the August 30 deadline.
Everton to sign Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe from Eintracht Frankfurt?
Given the Toffees’ openness in the midfield during the opening few games of the new season, and Ebimbe’s ability to play anywhere on the pitch, the possible transfer makes a lot of sense.
The midfield looks to be one of Sean Dyche’s biggest concerns heading into this Premier League campaign, especially with a lack of options at Goodison Park.
With James Garner only just returning from his injury sustained during pre-season, Idrissa Gana Gueye and Tim Iroegbunam were the only options at defensive midfield, which could be a problem further down the line.
Considering Gueye’s recent injury record, partnered with Iroegbunam’s lack of experience after only making one Premier League start for Aston Villa last season, it is no wonder why new midfielders are on the transfer wishlist.
While Ebimbe is the most natural in the middle of the park, he is capable of deputising further forward, on the flanks, or even at full-back, so the Frenchman may be able to help out in multiple positions.

Ebimbe would be a useful addition for the Toffees, so Dyche must push for the new transfer.
The fact that the player has been left out of training at his current club could be seen as a slight concern, but with only two days until the transfer window slams shut, the Evertonians are running out of options.
