Everton look into Neal Maupay transfer after fan video backlash in London
Everton are looking to see if a deal can be done to sell Neal Maupay before transfer deadline day, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper reported the news in its print edition [28 August, page 62] after footage emerged of fans clashing with the players after the 4-0 loss against Tottenham in London.
Maupay found himself at the centre of attention as he allegedly responded to the fans in person and even retweeted the video on his personal X account.
Neal Maupay to leave Everton before August 30
Since arriving at Everton from Brighton back in the 2022/23 season, Maupay has been at the centre of a lot of controversies with the Toffees.
He has only managed to score once in an Everton shirt and was supposed to help ease the burden upon the shoulders of Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
And, while he was never brought in as the main man, it feels as if the Frenchman should be performing a lot better than what he has done.

Despite having already stated his future lies at Goodison Park earlier in the transfer window, it seems as if things have changed, with the Toffees asking for a fee in the region of £6.7million [Le 10 Sport, 24 August] for the attacker.
Both Marseille and Brentford are vying for the transfer [Foot Mercato, 24 August] of the attacker before 30 August but only time will tell where the Frenchman will end up.
In other Everton news, the Toffees are readying a £10m bid for a Championship ace.
