Simon Jordan hits out at Neal Maupay live on talkSPORT after what he did at Everton

Simon Jordan has slated Everton ace Neal Maupay following his recent antics after the 4-0 defeat against Tottenham.

This comes after the striker allegedly responded to fans who were clashing with the players following that heavy defeat in North London.

Speaking live on talkSPORT [28 August, 10:17], Jordan claimed that he doesn’t know how anyone has any respect for the Frenchman after his time with the Toffees.

“How can you respect Maupay, he’s done nothing for Everton and went out on loan as quickly as he possibly could to go back to his old stomping ground,” Jordan said.

“The only reason Dyche is probably tolerating it is because he hasn’t got many other options.”

Everton and Neal Maupay need to go their separate ways

Since arriving from Brighton in the 2022/23 season, Maupay has had quite a topsy-turvy time whilst representing the Toffees.

The Frenchman has failed to leave his mark at the club once again and has only managed to score one goal during the entirety of his Everton career.

Granted, he did return to Brentford on loan last term as a stop-gap whilst Ivan Toney was suspended but even then, he only managed a total of six Premier League goals.

Since the start of the summer transfer window, the 28-year-old has been linked with a Goodison Park exit but hasn’t yet been afforded the chance.

Beto was also brought in last season as a back-up to Dominic Calvert-Lewin but, as always seems to be the case with Everton, none of their strikers can find their form.

There is still plenty of time left in the transfer window and now that Everton has set their demands for the striker [Le 10 Sport, 24 August], it would be a surprise to see him in blue after 30 August, that is unless Calvert-Lewin exits for Chelsea or Arsenal [Caught Offside, 27 August].
