Everton monitor Burnley ace Josh Brownhill for last-gasp transfer amid £5m update
Everton are one of several Premier League clubs monitoring Burnley captain Josh Brownhill who the Clarets are keen to offload, according to GiveMeSport.
As reported on Thursday [29 August], Scott Parker is attempting to mould his squad following a mass exodus at Turf Moor and are willing to sell Brownhill at a fee of around £5million to gain further funding.
Having previously worked with the midfielder, Sean Dyche is among those tracking him, as well as Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham.
Everton to reunite Sean Dyche with Josh Brownhill?
Having been a shining light in a season of despair for Burnley under Vincent Kompany last campaign, Brownhill has admirers in the Premier League.
It is little wonder one of these is his former gaffer Dyche, who is focused on improving his midfield options as the transfer deadline nears.
It could be difficult to secure Brownhill’s services even for the affordable sum of £5m, with league rivals Tottenham – who have already taken Wilson Odobert from the Clarets – and Fulham also in the hunt.

Dyche will be relieved to get a deal over the line for Lyon’s Orel Mangala as his central options have become light, and 28-year-old Brownhill could be another – alongside Dwight McNeil and Michael Keane – to reunite with the former Burnley boss of a decade.
Parker’s task is even less enviable than Dyche’s at the moment with the number of players Burnley are merrily offloading – but the Toffees would get a rare piece of respite should they secure a cut-price deal for Brownhill.
