David Moyes available as Sean Dyche sack pressure grows at Everton
David Moyes is available after leaving West Ham this summer as pressure continues to grow on Sean Dyche at Everton, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper reported in its Sports Verdict on Monday (2 September, page 7) that chatter has emerged at Goodison Park over the Scottish manager, who is based in the North West, casting a shadow over Dyche.
It comes after the Toffees crashed to an embarrassing 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth on 31 August, despite being two goals to the good with only 10 minutes to play.
David Moyes to replace Sean Dyche as Everton woes continue?
Dyche is the last person who needs to be reminded of the Toffees’ awful start to the 2024/25 campaign, having lost their third consecutive league match dramatically.
While the defence was one of the biggest positives at Goodison Park last season, only conceding more goals than Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool, that seems like a distant memory now.
The Toffees had conceded seven goals in the opening two defeats to Brighton and Tottenham, and while they managed to score twice against Bournemouth, nobody can have excuses for the shock defeat.
Pressure is already building on Dyche to turn things around, and rightly so, following a decent summer transfer window, but few alternatives could do a better job at the helm this season.

Moyes would likely be greeted by a rather mixed reaction if he were to be brought back to Goodison Park, having spent 11 years at the club between 2002 and 2013, but it could be a very real possibility.
Time is ticking for Dyche to put Everton’s first points on the Premier League board, and with the international break up next, Farhad Moshiri could make a decision before the season resumes.
