Richard Keys has suggested that Sean Dyche may be sacked as Everton manager on the back of the calamitous defeat against Bournemouth.

The Toffees led Saturday's contest (31 August) 2-0 at Goodison Park thanks to goals from Michael Keane and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

However, three Bournemouth goals from the 87th minute onwards condemned Everton to a third defeat in a row to begin the Premier League season.

Speaking live on beIN SPORTS at full-time [31 August, 5:01pm], Keys said: "That might - might - just see Sean Dyche off."

Sean Dyche faces Everton sack

The defeats to Brighton and Hove Albion and Tottenham to begin the new season killed off any sort of positivity that had been brewing.

Seven goals conceded and none scored, the Toffees found themselves at the foot of the table with two rounds of fixtures played.

That made this showdown with Bournemouth bigger than it was meant to be, and Everton - after a fairly bright first half - gave their season lift-off in style.

Keane and Calvert-Lewin gave supporters plenty to cheer about, but in classic Everton fashion it was merely papering over the cracks.

Quite how they managed to concede three goals in nine minutes is anyone's guess. Drawing the game looked impossible, never mind losing it.

Dyche now has two weeks to hear plenty of chatter regarding his future - if he indeed lasts that long.

Those who were undecided one way or another may now be swayed. Ultimately, one look at the Premier League table shows it quite literally cannot be any worse right now.
