Sean Dyche ‘losing’ patience at Everton after recent Goodison Park developments

Everton manager Sean Dyche is “losing a bit of patience” after recent developments at Goodison Park, according to Troy Deeney.

The Toffees headed into the September international break rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table having failed to pick up a single point from any of their first three games of the season.

Dyche’s side threw away a two-goal lead in the final minutes of the clash with Bournemouth to lose 3-2 and BBC Sport pundit Deeney believes the Blues boss’ comments after the game showed he is getting tired.

Speaking on Up Front with Simon Jordan (5 September, 23:20) he said: “Just to that, I think he’s losing a bit of patience.

“He doesn’t normally speak like the way that he did after this game. He’s normally more assertive and ‘unfortunately, this happened but we’re going to do that.

“He normally takes it all on the shoulders. Sometimes it just tires you out, doesn’t it?”

Will Sean Dyche exit Everton amid Goodison Park developments?

So much of the talk following the defeat to Bournemouth has been around whether or not Everton could look to part ways with Dyche this season, rather than the fact he could walk away from Goodison Park.

The former Burnley manager has shown little interest in jumping ship, particularly as he has stood by the Toffees throughout the difficult last few years, but it does feel like his patience is beginning to wear thin.

However, his comments after the Bournemouth game are more likely to be a result of frustration rather than a lack of patience.

The Blues boss was probably just as angry as any supporter to see his side capitulate in that manner.

Of course, if that sort of collapse begins to occur week in and week out, then questions need to be asked of the manager.

At the moment, however, the blame ultimately lies with the players who are failing to perform on the pitch.

Hopefully, Dyche manages to turn things around after the international break to get fans and pundits back on his side.
