John Textor to rip up the playbook at Goodison Park as Everton transfer speculation emerges
Bryan King has backed John Textor to rip up the playbook at Goodison Park if he completes a takeover of Everton.
The ex-Goodison scout claims Textor and any new manager he hires might have different ideas from Sean Dyche and the club’s current owners.
It comes after Jeunes Footeux reported (7 September) that the Toffees are looking to hijack Leicester City’s move for Yazici, who is a free agent after leaving Lille.
However, King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – claims those plans could yet change.
“I did read that Textor has some interest in his Crystal Palace shares,” King said.
“Transfer decisions like this will be steered by who owns the club. It seems Textor is in the number one position to buy the club.
“Therefore, what he will want, and what his new manager will want by the sound of things, might be different.”
John Textor to rip up the Everton playbook at Goodison Park?
As reported by the Guardian on Tuesday (10 September), Textor is confident of agreeing a deal to buy Everton from Moshiri within the next four weeks. Therefore, Goodison Park could be a very different place in a few weeks.
When new owners come into a football club, they often have their own ideas and vision. As a result, any transfer speculation at this moment in time should be taken with a pinch of salt.
As exclusively revealed by Goodison News (8 September), Textor plans to invest heavily in the Everton squad if he completes a takeover.

Therefore, the American might be aiming higher than a free agent, which could come as an exciting update to supporters.
However, Everton have shown in the past that big spending doesn’t always lead to success, and Textor will need to be wise.
