Sean Dyche uncertainty emerges at Everton in significantly new development
Sean Dyche’s long-term future at Everton is unclear with new contract talks being hampered by off-field instability, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper has reported that the current regime in charge at Goodison Park has expressed their openness to extend his stay at the club.
However, with just eight months left to run on his current deal, Dyche is yet to strike a breakthrough with unstable finances and the takeover push significantly impacting any progress.
It is unclear how John Textor’s proposed takeover would impact the future of Dyche.
Has Sean Dyche done enough to earn a new contract at Everton?
At the end of last season, it was hard to see a world in which Dyche wouldn’t be given a new contract, owing to the siege mentality he instilled to keep the Toffees up amid chaotic circumstances.
Had Dan Friedkin’s takeover – which looked likely to happen at the time – not fallen through, a period of stability on Merseyside may have seen Dyche rewarded for his efforts with fresh terms and a new deal.

However, neither of those scenarios came to pass, and with the club still shrouded in uncertainty as they begin their final season at Goodison Park, Dyche’s contract talks have understandably taken a back seat.
The woeful start to the season, with three losses from three in the Premier League and 10 goals conceded, will certainly not have helped Dyche’s efforts to push for further time in charge.
However, given he has steered the Blues’ ship through the most turbulent of waters since his arrival, Dyche deserves a chance to prove his worth to the potential new owners – whoever that turns out to be.
