Sean Dyche sack calls to reach deafening level at Everton on Saturday
Everton fan calls for Sean Dyche to be sacked could reach “a deafening level” with defeat at Leicester City this weekend, according to the Daily Mail.
On page 84-85 of Friday morning’s print edition [20 September], the report suggested discontent from Toffees supporters could come to a boil if they come away from the King Power Stadium empty-handed in what has already been branded a “six-pointer”.
The story also noted how just 14 per cent of fans surveyed through The Toffee Blues site claimed they wanted to keep Dyche at Goodison Park; 66 per cent want him out the exit door.
Everton test at Leicester a make-or-break for Sean Dyche?
There is no denying even at this early stage of the campaign, the result of Saturday’s game could well be one looked back on with importance.
While Everton may see the trip to the East Midlands as potential respite for Dyche and his team to turn a corner, Steve Cooper’s Leicester will be viewing the Toffees as fresh meat in their own quest for survival this season.
Dyche’s case appears to be one whereby the manager faces the cull first, simply because they are the figurehead often sacrificed when a club requires change – let’s face it, Everton’s attempts to change their owner in the past year have hardly been plain sailing.

The follow-up question would be whether there is anyone currently out there who can realistically get a tune out of this Blues squad any more than Dyche can – and it helps little when prospective new owner John Textor, for example, is causing discontent with his attempts to criticise the manager in a bid to preach to the choir.
It is a troubled spell for Everton – they just cannot let it slip into a disastrous season, and a positive result at Leicester will go some way to acting as a springboard.
