Real Madrid likely transfer claim emerges on Everton star Jarrad Branthwaite

Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite is likely to be a more attainable option for Real Madrid than Arsenal centre-back William Saliba, according to HITC.

The news outlet reported on 23 September that Los Blancos are plotting a move for a new defender in the summer and Tottenham centre-back Cristian Romero and Nottingham Forest’s Murillo are also understood to be on their radar.

However, it would be unlikely that Saliba or Romero would be allowed to leave, making Branthwaite’s move to Spain a possibility.

Everton may find it hard to keep Jarrad Branthwaite if Real Madrid seriously want him

While the Toffees will want to keep Branthwaite for as long as they possibly can, it is unlikely that he will be at the club forever.

He may not have played this season but his value is only expected to skyrocket in the coming months.

Another good campaign would see demand for him increase, and it won’t be just Manchester United who comes in with offers for him.

Madrid are arguably the biggest institution in world football and they’re known to get what they want.

If Branthwaite becomes their number one target in the summer, they would move heaven and earth to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Hopefully, that does not happen and the Merseyside outfit get another year of their star defender as it’ll be the first season in the new stadium.
