Armando Broja spotted at Goodison Park before Everton win v Crystal Palace

Armando Broja was spotted interacting with Everton fans at Goodison Park before the 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday 28 September.

Liverpool Echo journalist Joe Thomas shared that the Albania international had been seen in the Goodison Road End of the stadium before kick-off, posing for photographs with supporters.

Broja signed for the Toffees on 31 August from Chelsea on a season-long loan with an option to buy but is yet to make an on-field appearance due to a pre-existing injury which will rule him out until October [Alan Myers, 31 August].

Armando Broja debut coming at Everton

A potentially pivotal week in both the immediate and long-term future of the Blues was given the perfect end with the 2-1 win over Palace on 28 September – their first in the Premier League this season.

Coupled with the announcement of Dan Friedkin’s takeover agreement at Goodison Park, Toffees fans the world over will be seeing the last few days’ developments as a significant turning point.

That creates a positive atmosphere for new players to come in off the back of their Dwight McNeil-inspired victory and also heightens the competition for places in attacking areas.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin remains Sean Dyche’s go-to option at centre-forward and played the full 90 minutes against Palace, but a player of Broja’s potential could still cause a shake-up.

Calvert-Lewin’s contractual future at Goodison remains uncertain, and as Broja makes his way back towards fitness, he’ll be keen to stake his first-team claims as soon as possible.

In other Everton news, The Esk have shared their prediction on who Dan Friedkin could appoint in a key off-field role at Goodison.
