Jarrad Branthwaite return update shared by injury expert ahead of Everton clash v Ipswich
Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite could return to the squad for Everton’s Premier League clash with Ipswich Town on 19 October, according to Ben Dinnery.
As per the injury expert’s Premier Injuries website on Wednesday (9 October), the defender has a 50 per cent chance of returning to action against Ipswich, with his thigh injury currently being assessed.
Apart from Branthwaite, Vitalii Mykolenko could also feature against the Tractor Boys, while Nathan Patterson and Seamus Coleman are edging closer to returns.
Jarrad Branthwaite’s unavailability a frustration for Everton boss Sean Dyche
Everton have had a poor start to the season as they sit 16th in the league table after winning only one of their seven games so far.
The unavailability of Branthwaite, therefore, would have been another source of frustration for manager Dyche.
After missing the first several games of the campaign due to a groin injury, the centre-back returned to action in the Toffees’ 2-1 win against Crystal Palace on 28 September.
However, he quickly suffered another setback, picking up a quad issue ahead of the team’s home game against Newcastle United, which ended in a 0-0 draw.
The international break has come at a good time for Everton as it gives Branthwaite time to recover in time for the clash with Ipswich.

With the Merseyside outfit battling relegation, it is important that Dyche has his best players, including the Dutchman, available for most of the season.
In his only appearance for the club this term, Branthwaite made five clearances, three interceptions and two tackles, as per Sofascore.
In other Everton news, Jamie O’Hara has labelled a Toffees fan’s assessment of the club’s season so far as ‘harsh’.
