Dan Friedkin wants Jose Mourinho at Everton

There aren’t many more experienced managers potentially available to the Toffees than Mourinho, who was one of the best in the world at one moment in time.

This took him from being a Champions League winner with Porto and Inter Milan to title wins with Chelsea and Real Madrid.

The Portuguese manager now finds himself in Turkiye with Fenerbahce, where he has guided his side to fourth in the Super Lig.

A return to the Premier League could be an exciting prospect for the 61-year-old, especially as the face of a fresh project at the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium.

It would be a blow for Dyche to be sacked given the job that he has done in his time at Goodison, which has seen him keep his side away from relegation.

Moving the former Burnley manager on and replacing him with Mourinho could prove to be a risk but a calculated one from Friedkin and Co.
