Juventus stance on Dominic Calvert-Lewin transfer shared amid Everton exit links

Juventus are having “doubts” about signing Everton ace Dominic Calvert-Lewin due to the lack of goals he’s scored over the last couple of seasons, according to TuttoJuve.

The Italian outlet reported on Tuesday (15 October) that although Juventus are “following” him they haven’t yet made their minds up on whether to make a move.

Calvert-Lewin’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season and it remains to be seen whether he will remain with the Toffees or not.

Everton face Dominic Calvert-Lewin dilemma

Calvert-Lewin’s goal return has admittedly left a lot to be desired since he’s been able to put together a much longer run of games after his well-documented injury issues.

Which is why Everton brought in Armando Broja on deadline day but, unfortunately, the striker has been sidelined due to injury since his arrival.

The initial deal is a season-long loan but the Toffees do have an option to buy which is said to be worth around £30million [Sunday Mirror, 1 September, page 70].

Whether that option gets activated will solely be down to the form of the Albania international and if Everton are impressed by his impact.

Everton are in ongoing talks to extend the contract of Calvert-Lewin [TEAMtalk,14 October] and it would be a blow to lose him on a free transfer, something which unfortunately remains a distinct possibility.

The alternative could be to take an offer in January if a decent proposal is made, which might be a good compromise, but at the same time losing him midway through the season is not exactly ideal.
