Everton will decide whether they activate a £30million buy option for Armando Broja based on Dominic Calvert-Lewin's future, according to the Sunday Mirror.

The newspaper reported on 1 September (page 70) that the Toffees won't pay any of the Albania international's wages while he is injured.

The loan deal also includes an option to buy the 22-year-old from Chelsea for £30m next summer.

Sean Dyche will decide whether to take up this option after the future of Calvert-Lewin is secured with his contract ending at the end of the season.

Everton to make Armando Broja transfer decision

The former Southampton loanee made the shock late move to Goodison Park on Deadline Day but won't feature until he returns to full fitness.

A move to Ipswich looked to be on the cards before the newly promoted side opted out of a deal due to an Achilles problem for the striker.

It remains unclear as to how long the Chelsea man will be out for but the Toffees won't pay until he makes his return from injury.

This is a positive deal from a financial perspective for the club but they will be hopeful Broja can find some sort of form that he has been lacking for many seasons now.

With just three goals in his last two seasons [FotMob], the Albanian doesn't necessarily bring any guarantee of regular goals.

With that being said, the likes of Calvert-Lewin and Beto are in a similar boat so it could be a positive for Dyche to have a fresh option to utilise.
