Everton v Brentford preview: Team news, head-to-head, where to watch, line-ups, prediction
Everton return from the international break with a home Premier League encounter against Brentford on Saturday.
Having failed to beat fellow strugglers Southampton and West Ham prior to the break, Sean Dyche will be hoping his side can get back to winning ways against a Brentford side who sit in 11th.
Failure to avoid defeat could see the Toffees drop into the bottom three, depending on results elsewhere with Crystal Palace three points behind.
Preview
It hasn’t been a particularly great season for the Toffees so far, with the Merseyside club winning just two of their opening 11 games, gifting Southampton their first win of the season in the process.
They find themselves 16th, just three points above the relegation zone and a clash with Brentford will pose its challenges.
Dyche will be keen to impress the new prospective owner Dan Friedkin after it emerged he may be in his final season with the club.

The former Burnley man will be looking to avoid a relegation battle although results and performances will have to improve drastically for that to be achievable.

Prediction – Everton 0-1 Brentford
The Toffees need a win, and even with injuries, Brentford have a squad capable of damaging opponents.
Mbueme and Wissa in particular have the attributes that could cause a great threat to Dyche’s side and it looks very likely that they will get the better of the Merseyside club.
In other Everton news, Jarrad Branthwaite could be sold to Manchester United.
