Everton defender Vitaliy Mykolenko was rightly called out by David Moyes after his performance in the 4-0 loss against Manchester United.

The Blues were abysmal in the drubbing at Old Trafford on Sunday (1 December) and find themselves just two points above the relegation zone.

Mykolenko had a particularly torrid time against United but somehow stayed on the pitch despite the dismal display.

Former Toffees boss Moyes was critical of the Ukrainian's role in the Red Devils third goal on Match Of The Day 2 [1 December], saying: "This was the kick-off of the second-half. I just can't understand why Mykolenko went so far across the pitch and left [Amad] Diallo free."

Vitaliy Mykolenko is a big problem for Everton

The 25-year-old has played 926 minutes in the league for the Blues this season, only missing the draws in Leicester and Newcastle through injury.

Against the Red Devils, he was constantly in trouble against Amad Diallo and when he attempted to tackle him, he fouled the United man and got a booking.

In the loss to Ruben Amorim's side, Mykolenko recorded an 83 per cent pass accuracy, completing 19 of his 23 attempts, created zero chances and made just one pass into the final third. [Fotmob]

Defensively, the Ukrainian made one interception, one block and four recoveries and did not attempt a tackle.

In terms of duels, he won just one of five he attempted for a 20 per cent success rate but won both of the aerial duels he attempted for a 100 per cent success rate.

Dyche should drop Mykolenko for Wednesday's match against Wolves (3 December) after his terrible performance at Old Trafford. He cannot reward that performance with a start in the following game.
