Everton to secure lucrative Bramley-Moore Dock deal amid £200m update
Dan Bardell believes Everton must secure the highest fee possible for the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium naming rights to help improve PSR issues.
The Toffees are yet to secure a naming rights partner for their new arena but Kieran Maguire has suggested that “£20million-plus is realistic.” in a deal worth £200million over a 10-year deal [TBR Football].
Farhad Moshiri’s former business partner Alisher Usmanov agreed a deal for the rights in January 2020 [The Guardian] but after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 meant that he was sanctioned by the UK Government, leaving the Merseyside club without a name for their new stadium.
Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell believes this deal is important for the future of Everton and needs to bring in as much revenue as possible to ease PSR concerns.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Bardell said: “Because it is a new stadium, the naming rights are basically irrelevant to supporters.
“It wouldn’t bother them at all and so the club have got to go for the most lucrative deal for the football club. When you spend so much on a stadium, you’ve got to get some of that back like Arsenal did with the Emirates.
“As much money the club can get will help and also just having the opportunity to get a sponsor for the stadium will help them with PSR and upgrading the squad.
“That’s what fans want to see and that means that the naming of the stadium is crucial for the club moving forward.”
Everton in line for “lucrative” naming rights deal at Bramley-Moore Dock
Moshiri has put the club on the line in order to get this stadium built and it may prove to be a positive step in the right direction if a positive deal can be agreed for the name.
Talks have been held with Qatar Airways [Daily Mail], while the Toffees are also likely to have discussed a deal with Toyota which makes sense with their ties to The Friedkin Group [TBR Football].

Either of these could represent large fees and much-needed income which can be invested back into Sean Dyche’s squad ahead of next season, hopefully in the Premier League.
