Sergio Conceicao play waiting game as Friedkin Everton takeover drags on
Sergio Conceicao is not tempted by the prospect of re-joining Nantes with the Everton managerial job potentially set to be available, according to Mais Futebol.
The Portuguese outlet reported via their website on 3 December that the Toffees could become a “strong possibility” for the 50-year-old once The Friedkin Group’s takeover goes through.
Conceicao, meanwhile, is waiting for an offer from a bigger club despite Nantes “dreaming” of taking him back to the Ligue 1 club.

Conceicao choosing to overlook Nantes’ interest is good news for the Merseyside-based club, but they will, nevertheless, need to be quick if they want to hire him.
West Ham have notably been mooted as a destination for the Portuguese tactician [The Guardian], while Mais Futebol also floated RB Leipzig as an option.
The Hammers are considering sacking Julen Lopetegui after their 3-1 loss to Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday [3 December] and could soon turn their attention towards Conceicao.
Everton, meanwhile, are in no position to make an approach for the manager with 12 trophies as Dan Friedkin is still in the process of completing the takeover of his club.

The takeover, which is pending Premier League approval, is expected to be finalised sometime in December [The Guardian] and it remains to be seen if the former Porto manager will still be available.
Sean Dyche remains in charge of the Merseyside-based club for the time being, although many fans have called for him to be sacked.
