Everton told to sell ‘unhappy’ Beto within weeks after transfer request
Beto is thought to be unhappy with Everton after a recent transfer decision.
As reported by La Stampa, via Tutto Mercato Web [9 December], Torino have identified Beto as their priority signing with the 26-year-old on the market after requesting to be sold in January.
Kevin Thelwell will no doubt be ready to let the 26-year-old leave. However, according to Tuttosport [10 December], any transfer in January would have to be a permanent exit, rather than a loan with an obligation to buy.
And ex-Goodison scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – thinks it is no secret that Beto isn’t happy on Merseyside.
“It looks a long way back for Beto at Everton,” King said.
“You don’t want unhappy players around a football club. This is an opportunity for Beto to head out on a loan, with an option to buy. It sounds like it is right for Everton and right for the player.
“Therefore, the club need to agree to it, and the player needs to move on. He’s obviously unhappy because if you’re happy at a football club, you’re not going to be asking to get away, are you?
Everton striker Beto to quit Goodison Park in January?
It appears as though Beto’s future could lie away from Goodison Park.
He has hardly played this season and has scored just once in the Premier League. Therefore, it is hardly surprising that he is keen to make a fresh start.
However, Sean Dyche must decide whether he has enough players in his squad to fill in should Beto leave the club.

And with the Toffees only reportedly willing to sanction a permanent sale, Beto will need to hope someone comes up with the money in January.
In other Everton news, Sean Dyche has shared a fresh contract update about one player at the club.
