Torino make final decision on Beto transfer after Everton development
Torino are set to walk away from Beto upon learning that Everton will not sanction a January transfer, Tuttosport reports.
According to the Italian news outlet’s website [16 December], the Serie A outfit are turning their attention to Inter Milan forward Marko Arnautovic, with Beto expected to remain put on Merseyside.
The Blues were believed to be open to selling the forward in the upcoming transfer window after the forward requested to be sold [Calcio Mercato].
However, Torino will withdraw their interest in the 26-year-old and move onto alternative targets, as Beto appears likely to see out the remainder of the campaign at Goodison Park.
Beto will remain with Everton
Despite featuring only nine times for Everton this season, Beto will have his long-awaited Premier League departure put on hold.
His playing time has been limited under Sean Dyche this term as Dominic Calvert-Lewin continues as the preferred option to lead the line, but he has had ample opportunity to impress and failed.
And although Armando Broja has fully recovered from his injury woes at Goodison Park, Dyche feels he will be best served to steer the Merseyside outfit clear of the relegation zone with three options to call upon at striker.
However, Beto is unhappy with his situation at the Blues and may well push for an exit in January to end his underwhelming spell in England.

The Guinea-Bissau international has failed to replicate the heights he reached in his last spell in Italy with Udinese, and he clearly feels he can rediscover his form in front of goal in familiar surroundings, but it will not be at Torino.
Suppose the relationship between club and player has not strained already, it certainly will now as Everton have denied Beto the Italian move that he craves. Instead he will remain down the Goodison Park pecking order.
