Dyche to be ‘judged well’ in Everton history amid fixture fear from broadcaster
Everton fans will reminisce on Sean Dyche kindly in years to come should he complete the club’s survival mission, according to Ian Darke.
The TV commentator argues the Toffees have demonstrated their credentials to stay in the Premier League with recent performances, earning four clean sheets from five including the 0-0 stalemate at Arsenal last time out [14 December].
A tricky run of fixtures over the festive period has been acknowledged, with a new era under The Friedkin Group now having begun on the blue half of Merseyside, as the club officially announced the takeover completion on Thursday morning [Everton FC website, 19 December].
“History will judge Sean Dyche pretty well. They showed their credentials for survival against Arsenal,” Darke exclusively told Goodison News.
“When the fans reflect in maybe 10 years’ time of this difficult era, if he’s kept them in the Premier League through that, he would be fondly remembered as having a good job – even if he doesn’t necessarily get a statue.
“It’s an important phase of the season for Everton to nick points, with a tougher run of fixtures than you’d want.”
Everton and Sean Dyche bracing for tough run
Everton may have shown the determination and robustness required to grab a goalless draw from the Emirates last weekend, but must regroup for the fixtures coming up across the turn of the year.
