Everton chaos on the cards in ‘Fun’ Nottingham Forest prediction

Lars Sivertsen has predicted a “chaotic” affair when Everton face Nottingham Forest in Premier League action on Sunday.

The Toffees enter the game off the back of a deserved point against the reigning champions Manchester City on Boxing Day.

Iliman Ndiaye played a crucial role at the Etihad in the 1-1 draw and he will likely be required to do the same if fit on 29 December if Everton are to achieve a result with Sivertsen – Norwegian broadcaster and writer who has contributed to the likes of TV 2, talkSPORT, and the Guardian – predicting a “fun” matchup.

Speaking via talkSPORT (28 December, 11:20n am), the sports broadcaster said: “This could actually be surprisingly lively because, of course, the reason these teams don’t have a lot of possession is that they’re very direct when they get it.

“They try to get it forward very quickly, they’re less concerned about whether there’s an actual teammate wherever they’re kicking it all the time. That’s not always the first priority.

“So, you’d think actually, when two teams that are quite direct in their approach play each other, it should be quite chaotic. So maybe this could be one of the fun games of the weekend.”

Everton have opportunity to extend unbeaten run

Heading into the clash at Goodison, the Toffees are unbeaten in their last four, albeit having only won once, with their emphatic victory against Wolves the standalone victory.

However, their defensive solidity has been on show in all four encounters and that could be paramount to any success on Sunday against the Premier League high flyers.

Fingers will be crossed on Merseyside that Ndiaye is fit for the encounter after it was revealed he has a 50 per cent chance of making the clash after a minor calf concern picked up in their 1-1 draw with Man City.

With that said, if he is fit, he will play a crucial role in their attempts to secure a victory with him being one of the standout performers for Everton this season.

The Toffees will be looking to end 2024 on a high despite enduring a pretty wretched year as a whole.
