Kevin Thelwell to land instant Everton upgrade with move for new striker
Kevin Thelwell worked wonders in the summer transfer window when he managed to bring Iliman Ndiaye to Everton.
The Senegal international has quickly become one of the Toffees’ most important players and the fact he now has a 50 per cent chance of missing the Merseyside outfit’s game against Nottingham Forest is a cause for concern [Ben Dinnery, 28 December].
However, Ndiaye’s absence isn’t the only worry that Dyche is likely to have with his squad at the moment.
While they’re fairly solid in defence, their strikers have let them down on more than one occasion this season due to their lack of composure in the final third.
Although Armando Broja and Youssef Chermiti can’t have the blame placed upon their shoulders as they’ve only just returned, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto should have done much better this term.
Everton linked with Borussia Monchengladbach ace Tim Kleindienst
However, that could be about to change in January as the Toffees have just been linked with Borussia Monchengladbach striker Tim Kleindienst.
A fresh report from Bild (27 December), has shared that the Merseyside outfit have been left impressed with the form he’s shown this season.
Wolves are another Premier League side who are reportedly in the mix, but nothing concrete has yet arisen.
As aforementioned, Everton have severely lacked in the firepower department this season.
Their lack of performance in the Premier League is likely down to the lack of goals they’ve scored as their defensive line has been more than solid.
Tim Kleindienst would be a good transfer for Everton
The Friedkin Group finally assumed full control over Everton earlier this month after they bought all of Farhad Moshiri’s shares, which he’d had up for sale for what felt like a lifetime.

If the American businessmen are serious about paving the best way forward for the Merseyside outfit, it feels like the best way for them to do that would be to bring in some new faces during the January window and make it a top priority to add another striker to their ranks.
Only time will tell what the future holds but at the moment, things are starting to look somewhat brighter at Goodison Park, especially if they add Kleindienst to their squad.
Given his form in Germany over the past couple of seasons, including nine goals in 15 Bundesliga outings this term, he is undoubtedly a step-up on the current version of Calvert-Lewin.
In other Everton news, Sean Dyche has been backed for a new role under TFG.
