Sean Dyche has easy answer to question posed for Everton v Nottingham Forest

Sean Dyche simply has to find a way to incorporate both Iliman Ndiaye and Dwight McNeil for Everton if available for their upcoming clash with Nottingham Forest.

Ndiaye has been the standout performer for the Toffees this season and his goal against Manchester City just personified his importance to the side.

Utilising him will be key to any success against Forest who are having a brilliant season of their own but the impact of McNeil also needs to be considered after he was again absent from their 1-1 draw with Manchester City due to injury.

As per the Liverpool Echo (28 December), Dyche described McNeil as a “maybe” for the clash on 29 December while Ndiaye is “anticipated to be available” despite a minor calf concern.

If the Toffees want to keep their revival on track, Dyche has to find a way to get both players in his starting XI if they are available for selection.

Ndiaye and McNeil will be key to success for Everton

While the last few results have been of a positive nature for Everton, their inability to win is still a concern and utilising both Ndiaye and McNeil could be key to that.

The latter is yet to feature for the Toffees since their emphatic victory over Wolves with a knee injury to blame but, if fit, the role he plays in the team is vital.

With Ndiaye’s final third ability matched with McNeil’s creative prowess, Everton have the tools to turn some of these draws into wins and the inclusion of both players provides Dyche with the easiest answer to any question he may have when it comes to team selection.

An encounter with Forest certainly provides its challenges, but Everton have showcased their ability to get results against some of the Premier League’s high flyers and they need to take encouragement from those results into this encounter.

If both players are fit and ready to play a part, Dyche would be silly to omit either one of them from his starting XI.
