Everton to join forces with Liverpool and Man United fans in fresh protest
Everton supporters are set to join forces with other Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and Manchester United, in a protest against the constant rise of ticket prices.
The Toffees saw their own season ticket prices spike ahead of the move to their new stadium ahead of the 25/26 season, with supporters from Liverpool, West Ham and Manchester United among other clubs set to protest in a bid to stop the constant hike, as relayed by respected journalist Henry Winter on X [30 December].
Supporters are often taken advantage of in English football and Everton supporters are certainly up there, especially given the money they are asked to fork out after dismal performances from their club.
Hopes will be that the protest will encourage Premier League broadcasters to pressure clubs into halting the ticket price increases.
Winter wrote: “Fans’ groups including those from Manchester City and Manchester United, West Ham and Spurs, Everton and Liverpool, are joining forces and calling on Premier League broadcast partners to pressurise clubs into curtailing ticket price hikes.
“Fans want rights-holders to urge clubs to “reverse the greed and the unfair pricing structures which ultimately will destroy the product”.
“On the attack on concessions, Andy Payne, from Hammers United and chair of West Ham’s Fan Advisory Board says, “All fans want to see is the young, old and vulnerable have their concessions returned and protected. That way we ensure we reward loyalty and don’t exploit it. Football is more than just a game to us.”
Everton supporters to join Premier League protest
It is a downright disgrace to see how the finances needed to attend football matches are constantly spiking and it shows a complete disregard for the supporters who make the sport what it is.
Ultimately football without fans is nothing, as showcased during the COVID season in which games were being played behind closed doors.
Unfortunately, we are edging ever closer to those types of atmospheres becoming the normal with fans simply unable to afford the often ridiculous prices clubs are setting for their fans to be able to watch their team.

With so many sets of supporters due to participate in the protest, it will put serious pressure on those above to make a decision and do so for the greater good of football.
It’s about time supporters are rewarded for their loyalty instead of being penalised and taken advantage of for it which has been the case for far too long.
Football rivalry counts for a lot, but in circumstances such as this, it is good to see fans of Everton and Liverpool come together as one.
