Sean Dyche risks Everton sack as Doucoure January transfer looms

Sean Dyche could risk losing his job at Everton if Abdoulaye Doucoure leaves in the January window.

The Englishman has come under fire at times during his tenure as manager at Goodison but positive results against Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea have eased that pressure somewhat.

With The Friedkin Group coming in on Merseyside, there is a chance that they look to make their presence known and bring in a new manager.

Dyche could make the decision easy for the new owners if he loses Doucoure in the January window amid concerns over his contract.

The Mali international has just six months remaining on his deal at Goodison which could see him agree a pre-contract agreement elsewhere when the winter window opens.

Although this trio would be missed in L4, arguably the biggest miss would be the former Watford man who operates effectively as a box-to-box midfielder under Dyche.

The Toffees’ number 16 provides a physical presence while also having a positive impact going forward which has seen him score many important goals over the years.

There is no doubt that Doucoure would be difficult to replace directly and as a result, it would be a bitter blow to lose him on a free.

Results could easily take a negative turn without the former Rennes man which could ultimately lead to Dyche facing the sack on Merseyside.
