Bournemouth transfer twist emerges for Calvert-Lewin to quit Everton
Bournemouth are interested in signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin from Everton during the January transfer window, according to TEAMtalk.
The news outlet has reported (9 January) that the Cherries’ number one target is Brighton’s Evan Ferguson but they are keeping tabs on the Toffees striker as another option if they miss out on the Republic of Ireland international.
Everton are reluctant to lose their number nine without having a replacement lined-up but with the striker out of contract at the end of the season, a cut-price deal could be struck with Calvert-Lewin weighing up his options, TEAMtalk said.
Everton need to replace Dominic Calvert-Lewin
It’s understandable that Everton are hesitant to immediately sell Calvert-Lewin during the transfer window as the one thing the Toffees need this term are goals and therefore losing a striker would not be ideal.
However, with the 27-year-old out of contract at the end of the campaign, this could be a great opportunity for the Blues to cash in on a player who will otherwise exit Goodison Park for nothing in six months time.

Sean Dyche’s side are in desperate need of goals but given Calvert-Lewin has scored just two in 19 Premier League appearances, the thought that he will be the man to solve this issue is way off.
The Blues will surely be in the market to bring in new faces during the window and Bournemouth don’t seem to be keen on an immediate move so if the Toffees can bring in a new striker in the meantime, they may be in a good position to offload their striker later on in the month.
