Everton make major transfer decision after injury development
Everton have decided to recall midfielder Tyler Onyango from his loan spell at Stockport County.
The club announced on 8 January that the 21-year-old was back at Finch Farm after making 10 appearances this season on loan at the League One outfit.
The reason for him to return was because he sustained a hamstring injury in November and will now continue his rehab on Merseyside.
Everton make the right call to bring Tyler Onyango back to the club
It makes sense for the club to recall the 21-year-old as the medical staff at Finch Farm is much better than that of a League One side.
Also, if he hasn’t recovered yet and it’s been over a month, there is a chance that it could be something complex.
Thus far, the club have not mentioned whether or not he will require surgery but that’s something that will come to light in the due course.
He’s already played four senior games for the club and it remains to be seen what the future holds for him on Merseyside.
His contract runs out at the end of the season so the decision makers will have to make a call on whether to stick or twist.

A lot will depend on how he recovers from this injury and whether or not he can earn himself another loan spell or he will have to impress with the Under-21s if he wants a new deal at the club.
