David Moyes ‘to seal brilliant new signings’ at Everton amid hire news
Martin Allen has backed David Moyes to sign “fresh players” if he is named as Everton manager.
The Scot looks likely to return to Goodison Park as the successor to Sean Dyche who was surprisingly sacked on Thursday (9 January).
The 61-year-old has reportedly agreed to begin a second stint on the Blue side of Merseyside [Graeme Bailey] ahead of a move to the Bramley Moore Dock stadium next season.
Former Leicester City and Brentford manager Allen has now given his seal of approval on the move, believing that the ex-Manchester United boss will thrive in L4.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Allen said: “I think David Moyes will be the manager of Everton.
“He’s an excellent manager, he did an excellent job at West Ham. He rescued them from relegation when he took over from Manuel Pellegrini.
“He lives in the area, he knows the club, he knows the people, he’s got respect for the people and going into a new stadium, I think he will absolutely thrive.
“I’m sure with him, the recruitment at Everton will be much better, he’s a shrewd operator with a great knowledge of players.
“I don’t think Everton will get relegated now, I think next year they’ll bring in some fresh players and it will represent the start of a climb up the Premier League.“
David Moyes backed to make new signings at Everton
The former Sunderland boss looks set to become the new manager at Goodison which could represent a positive change under The Friedkin Group.
Moyes did an excellent job with the Hammers, carrying them from a relegation battle to European glory across his five-year spell.

If the Scottish head coach can replicate anything near that as the Toffees move into their new stadium, with a raft of new signings at his disposal, he will be looked at even more favourably by supporters.
