Everton news: David Moyes salary revealed with agreement reached
David Moyes has reached an agreement to become the next Everton manager, according to Alan Nixon.
The newspaper journalist reported on his Patreon account on 10 January that the Scotsman will be earning £12.5million and bonuses as he’s penned a two-and-a-half-year deal.
He has been viewed as the long-term option and not an emergency appointment with an announcement on the cards.
Everton show their trust in David Moyes
Those are mammoth wages and a pretty substantial commitment made by The Friedkin Group with regard to Moyes.
Initially, it seemed that he was the quickest option available and an easy sell to the fans so it made sense to hire him.
However, it now appears that he’s the man The Friedkin Group view as the option to take this club forward as they will move into the new stadium next season.
Currently, the priority for Moyes will be to maintain Premier League safety and he’ll have to steady the ship.
The Toffees are just a point away from relegation so it’s not like he’s going to walk into an easy job.

Fans will be hoping that he can roll back the years and make the club a top-half Premier League side on a regular basis.
