Everton shareholder breaks silence on next manager as Sean Dyche sacked
Everton shareholder Mike Parry does not want the club to go for a showbiz appointment after parting ways with Sean Dyche.
Parry believes that the fans have a lot to thank Dyche for despite the new owners deciding that it was time to part ways.
Along with the Englishman, four other staff members have also sealed permanent Goodison Park exits.
Parry wrote on X: “Evertonians have a lot to thank Sean Dyche for. He steered us through the most difficult season in our history last year. We’ve run out of steam so understandably things need changing. But I hope we don’t go for a showbiz appointment: The mighty Everton are MAGIC.”
Everton must be thorough in the process of hiring the new manager
Dyche’s tenure, in which he managed to navigate the Toffees through one of their most challenging seasons, highlights the necessity for a manager who understands the club’s ethos and current state.
With the club’s history of managerial turnover, The Friedkin Group must prioritise a thorough recruitment process to ensure the next appointment aligns with Everton’s long-term vision, particularly as they prepare for a move to a new stadium.
Choosing a manager based on merit, tactical acumen, and a fit with the club’s culture over mere popularity or past glories could be pivotal in rebuilding the team’s competitiveness and fan trust.
This approach would not only honour Dyche’s contributions but also set a foundation for sustainable success, avoiding the pitfalls of past hasty decisions that have sometimes led to further instability.
Hopefully, they have someone in mind and are making progress in order to secure his services sooner rather than later.

An interim appointment might be considered but it’s not something that should be done.
