Everton look to terminate contract of loan star in new transfer twist
Everton are exploring the possibility of sending Armando Broja back to Chelsea, according to The Times.
The newspaper reported via their website on 16 January that the Toffees are checking whether they can terminate Broja’s loan deal as he is sidelined for up to 12 weeks due to an ankle injury.
Everton, who are working on a tight budget, cannot bring any players on loan during the winter transfer window unless Chelsea agree to terminate the loan agreement.
Armando Broja transfer a flop at Everton
With Dominic Calvert-Lewin netting just twice in 20 Premier League outings this season, the stage was set for Broja to establish himself as Everton’s first-choice striker.
However, it is such a shame that the Albania international has struggled to stay fit since arriving at Goodison Park in August.
The Chelsea loanee was injured when he initially arrived on Merseyside and started just two league games before returning to the treatment table again.
Since Jack Harrison, Jesper Lindstrom and Orel Mangala are already on loan at the club, David Moyes’ side are unable to bring in more players on temporary contracts.
The fact that the Blues are already working on a shoestring budget does not help.

Therefore, it makes sense for the Friedkin Group-owned side to consider sending Broja back to Chelsea.
Everton will be in serious trouble if the West London outfit do not agree to take the centre-forward back as they are in desperate need of firepower up front.
In other Everton news, Moyes wants to add a former Liverpool player to his backroom staff.
