Everton shareholder instantly reacts to Calvert-Lewin goal v Tottenham
Everton shareholder Mike Parry admitted that the Blues have been waiting a while for Dominic Calvert-Lewin to score after he gave his side the lead against Tottenham.
The Toffees took the lead at Goodison Park after 13 minutes when the striker scored after taking a couple of turns with the ball and blasting it into the net.
There was a sense of relief for the 27-year-old who had only scored two goals before Sunday’s (19 January) game, which the Toffees ended up winning 3-2.
Broadcaster and minority Everton shareholder Parry shared his relief as after the goal, posting on X (19 January) saying: “Whoo Hoo. How long have we been waiting for that?
“Great for Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Terrific for Davey Moyes.
“But of course there’s 78 minutes to go.
“Let’s add to it. The mighty Everton.”

Everton will be absolutely delighted to get three points under their belt as they look to improve their form for the rest of the season under Moyes.
Although Calvert-Lewin has proven he can score in the past, it has been a difficult season for the striker who has struggled to find any sort of form this campaign.
However, against Tottenham, the 27-year-old looked confident and was excellent on the ball showing a level of performance much closer to what you would have previously expected from him.
Parry got his wish when Iliman Ndiaye doubled his side’s lead in the 30th minute which led the Toffees to an assured victory.
The aim now is for Moyes to continue his good work with the Blues in the hope of pulling them away from a relegation battle this term and after conceding two late goals, it’s a reminder that there is plenty to be done.
Furthermore, with potentially increased form incoming, it will be interesting to see where this leaves the striker’s future with a move away from Goodison linked.
