Richarlison moment spotted ahead of Everton v Tottenham at Goodison Park

Richarlison spent time signing autographs for Everton fans at Goodison Park shortly before the clash with Tottenham, according to Chris Beesley.

In an update for the Liverpool Echo’s live blog [19 January, 1:16pm], the journalist shared that he’s “just been told” Richarlison went across to the Gwladys Street to interact with supporters.

Richarlison was named among the Tottenham substitutes for Sunday’s (19 January) contest at Goodison, where a player was handed a full league debut for the hosts.

Everton fans would love Richarlison back

Richarlison left Goodison Park three years ago and yet he remains the most recent Everton player to hit double figures for goals in a single league campaign.

That is likely to extend by another year given the struggles of the Toffees’ attackers this year, which has led to Moyes holding crunch talks.

There has been the odd bit of speculation regarding a return to Merseyside for Richarlison, who has made no secret of his love affair with his former club.

Moyes would love a forward like Richarlison to lead the line, while Spurs would no doubt be grateful to recoup some of the fee splashed out to sign him.

That will not be happening this month, though, and it is down to Moyes to get the most out of the players he has available to him.

With the gap on the relegation zone standing at just one point, Moyes will know the importance of getting something against a mediocre Tottenham side.
