The Serie A club are keen on signing the Portuguese striker before the transfer window shuts.
They do not want to shell out the £17million that the Toffees are looking for in order to part ways with him. [Tuttosport]
It’s understood that the 26-year-old does indeed favour a return to Italy this month.
Everton launch an approach for Timothy Weah
The Toffees are looking for attackers and have made an approach to sign Juventus winger Timothy Weah. [Calciomercato.it, 20 January]
Along with the Merseyside outfit, there are several other European sides keen on securing the United States international’s services as well.
RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt are the other two clubs to have made a move to land the 24-year-old.
Everton will pocket a windfall from Tom Cannon joining Sheffield United
As Sheffield United have agreed on a £10million fee with Leicester City for Tom Cannon, the Toffees are set to make 20 per cent of the profit. [Alan Myers]
This means that a six-figure windfall of around £500,000 is on the cards for the club as they had included a sell-on clause when he left for Leicester back in 2023.

The deal has not yet been completed but is expected to go through imminently.
